Community guidelines
AFW gatherings should feel respectful, welcoming, and open to LGBTQ+ Asians, friends, and allies across age, background, identity, and experience.
Many AFW friendships begin at an event and continue beyond it. Members often organize regional circles, social or cultural outings, wellness activities, travel plans, service opportunities, and other informal gatherings throughout the DMV.
Whether you’re attending your first event or planning a meetup of your own, AFW exists to help people connect, build friendships, and create community.
As connections deepen over time, many members also participate in gatherings and partner communities beyond the DMV, building friendships that span cities, countries, and continents.
